The one where I ask a BCS expert to talk K-State fans off the ledge

So, even after yesterday’s events that may end up as the most important night in Kansas State football since the 2003 Big 12 championship, I hear plenty of EMAW-‘rica utterly convinced they’re about to screwed by Notre Dame squeezing into a national championship game against Oregon.

Since I don’t fully understand the BCS formula, I asked someone who does — the noted Jerry Palm — to explain why K-State fans shouldn’t worry about an undefeated season ending up anywhere but in the national championship.

His response:

The voters aren’t on board with ND. If the win over Oklahoma didn’t impress them, there isn’t anything the Irish can do.”

Does that help?
