Manifesto
The words here are for Kansas City, and they are by Kansas City.
Some of that is by definition, because this is my blog and I’m from Kansas City, but hopefully it gets beyond that and becomes our blog. Because if you’re on this blog, chances are you are from Kansas City or feel a connection to Kansas City. And if we’re doing this right, this will become very interactive and you will consider this essential reading throughout the day. Your time will be rewarded with information, insight and entertainment — not always in that order.
You’ll find a little bit of everything here. Posts will sometimes riff off a column, other times be completely different. You’ll find anecdotes and interactions and thoughts that don’t fit in the newspaper. You’ll find links to some of the best stories and columns from around the country, book suggestions, and shouts to some of the city’s best eats.
And you will find an easy way to submit a question for our weekly Q&As, and don’t be afraid to have fun with this. Doesn’t have to be all about sports. You can also use this to pass along a tip for a story you’d like to see in the paper. I’m particularly looking for ordinary people doing extraordinary things, at the high school level and even below.
Anything sent through the Q&A will be considered fair game.
